About Your Stay

Checking In: The director's room and office are on your left as you enter Lockwood or on the right as you enter the Court House. Your room location will be given to you upon arrival. There is an elevator in Lockwood for second floor access.

Payments: Your payment balance will be collected by the staff during your stay. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover as well as personal checks made out to “Arnold Hall.” For special payment arrangements, please speak with the director. If you are able to pay an extra amount as a donation to assist others in attending workshops or retreats at Arnold Hall, your generosity will be greatly appreciated.

Phones: There are phones located in the stairways and in several small sitting rooms. You will need to reverse charges or use a pre-paid calling card for calls outside the immediate area. Instructions are located near the phones.

Smoking: In consideration of the health of all, smoking is prohibited indoors in all buildings except the designated bedrooms in the smoking wing of Lockwood.

Baby Care/Laundry: There is a microwave oven, refrigerator, washer, dryer, iron and ironing board located in the cottage. High chairs can be provided in the Dining Room and a baby monitor is available from the director's office for general use. For individual use, you may want to bring your own. The second floor classroom and bedroom #3 are wired for broadcast from the oratory.

Water: The tap water is from the municipal water source and is fine for all use. There are also bottled water dispensers located in Lockwood and Courthouse.

Housekeeping: Every room has sheets and two pillows on the bed, towels and an extra blanket in the closet. Each bedroom in Lockwood has its own thermostat which can be adjusted for your comfort. Cleaning times will be posted for the building you are using, during which the rooms should not be occupied.

Food & Service: The three scheduled meals are served family style, with the help of waitresses. To help our service staff, please arrive promptly for meals and limit meal times to 35 minutes. Medical diets and special dietary needs will be provided if requested. Please give the indications to the director so that the kitchen can be informed. A snack is served outside the dining room each evening and coffee is available for early risers. We ask that no food items be stored in the bedrooms.

Books: Books for sale can be found in the breezeway on the way to the dining rooms. Cash or checks made out to “Arnold Hall” can be placed in the payment box.
